Family Learning Project

The Family Learning Project at Deneholme is intended to be an opportunity for families from different walks of life to come together, learn and spend time with their children, siblings, parents, grand -or even great-grandparents, eat homemade meals, have fun and experience adventure in a relaxed atmosphere.

There will be residential stays of up to four nights, the days are full of opportunities to opt in various activities, such as Rock Climbing and Abseiling, Kayaking, Treasure Hunts, Orienteering Courses, Team Building Activities, Bush Craft and Survival Tasks, River Crossings, Gorge Walking, Archery, Mountain Biking, Raft Building etc. Neither experience nor a high level of physical fitness is essential to take part in these activities - and of course, nobody has to step out of their comfort zone!

Outdoor education activities will be provided by  BECKs Development Training, and will take place across the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Most visits will also include one day of practical environmental work provided by BTCV, the national conservation volunteering holiday, and helping to conserve the unique environment and heritage of the area.

If you or your organisation are interested in getting generations together on a fully subsidised activity holiday, please call our Office on 0191 2371536 or via mobile on 07791707097 or send an email to linda@beckstraining.co.uk
